the studio was founded in 1995 by susanne m. käfer and in 2022 was adopted by erwin klassen and elias neugebauer. we currently employ five full-time restoration specialists as well as an art historian, bringing in additional expertise as required by specific projects. susanne m. käfer continues to work in an advisory capacity on projects.
